Paid Angry Birds for Android app coming within a month

Angry Birds gamers with Android smartphones will soon be able to enjoy the insanely popular game without obtrusive in-app adverts aftergames developers Rovio took to Twitter to confirm an ad-free version of the game was almost ready.

Rovios Twitter message came in response to a number of questions on whether a paid-app was nearing release, stating give us another month and well be there:

Rovio initially launched the Angry Birds beta for free on the Android Market, topping 1 million downloads in under two weeks. When the game publicly launched, it was released as an ad-supported app on alternative Android marketplace GetJar, earning the company a reported $1 million a month from advertising alone.

Angry Birds hassurpassedthe 50 million download mark worldwide and is now available on smartphones, the Mac App Store and also on Windows PCs.

Rovios Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka recently announced that Angry Birds users across the world now spend a cumulative 200 hours playing the game every day.PocketNow
