Pugs Luv Beats, created by Lucky Frame, is one of the weirdest iOS games Ive ever encountered. The game follows the story of a pug that found a Beat (physically a beet but spelled Beat) and gave it some love. This caused the Beat to grow, and then eventually, it exploded. Now, these pugs are lost in space and need your help!

The games goal is a bit hard to grasp the first time around. After a few basic instructions, youre left on your own to explore as you help pugs gather Beats. The more Beats you collect, the more planets you can buy. Every planet has different terrain, so youll also need to purchase costumes and hats for your pugs.

If youre lost right now, thats probably a good sign, because Im terribly confused as I write this. But despite my confusion, I keep coming back for more. The interactive soundtrack goes hand in hand with the gameplay, and the birds-eye perspective feels very fresh. With this is mind, I actually recommend it. From the creators:

They loved nothing more than to collect Beats, which they cultivated with love. But an ill-advised scheme to grow the biggest Beat of all time spun wildly out of control, and their home planet was destroyed!

Now you must help the Pugs grow more Beats so they can rediscover new planets, build houses, and recover their lost technology.

Flipboard needs to branch its content out from US/UK, heres why

Earlier this month, an eagerly anticipated iPhone app was finally launched as Flipboard took its highly acclaimed iPad app to the phone. The app has been out for a few weeks and, with the deafening chorus of cheers fading, Ive found myself shunning its beautiful and innovative design for the simple fact that its content isnt relevant enough for me. Compared to Zite , which may not be as aesthetically pleasing, Flipboard comes up wanting on content. Zite is, among others , an app which aggregates content from my social web Twitter, Google Reader and others giving it to me in a magazine style layout. Digitimes: Apples iPhone 5 to include smaller screen and metal chassis

Contray to previous reports that suggested Apples next-generation iPhone would include a 4.2-inch touch screen panel, Asian technology publication Digitimes reports that the device will feature a smaller 4-inch panel, adapting the rear of the device to ship with a metal chassis instead of reinforced glass.
