Nowhere Else




Those talented French artists at Nowhere Else envision the iPhone 5 having a rounded back, and accompanied this attractive illustration with an entire infographic full of iPhone 5 rumors and speculation.


9-to-5-Mac




On the left is allegedly the iPhone 5 in the hands of someone testing it on a train, and the white phone is allegedly the iPhone 4S, all found by 9-to-5 Mac.

Antonello Falcon




Called the "Size Zero iPhone 5," Antonello Falcon's flight of fancy has a 4.6-inch screen, curved glass edges, a thin 8.4mm cross-section and a soft-touch Home button. Perhaps this is more akin to an iPhone 6. Found on VeteranGeek.

When iDeals China leaked a shot of a 4-inch screen that was alleged to belong to an iPhone 5, Italian designer Piotr Spalek put together a mockup that matched up with the screen.

What will the iPhone 5 look like? Outside of a certain office complex in Cupertino and a few other secret places around the world, nobody knows the exact answer to that, but many are willing to guess.

Heres a gallery that shows the top 10 attempts at predicting the future some educated guesses based on leaks, others wild yet beautiful stabs in the dark, and still others just wishful thinking. The truth must lie somewhere within. Will it have a rounded back like the iPad 2? Will its sides be squared off, will its cross section be teardrop-shaped, are those leaked case designs indicative of the iPhone 5s final design?

Of course, all these questions and more will be answered on October 4 when the new iPhones are revealed, but until then, lets take a look at this gallery of dreams, speculations, rumors and hearsay, putting it all together into an impression of what we might be seeing at the big rollout next month.

Flipboard needs to branch its content out from US/UK, heres why

Earlier this month, an eagerly anticipated iPhone app was finally launched as Flipboard took its highly acclaimed iPad app to the phone. The app has been out for a few weeks and, with the deafening chorus of cheers fading, Ive found myself shunning its beautiful and innovative design for the simple fact that its content isnt relevant enough for me. Compared to Zite , which may not be as aesthetically pleasing, Flipboard comes up wanting on content. Zite is, among others , an app which aggregates content from my social web Twitter, Google Reader and others giving it to me in a magazine style layout. Though it lacks the page flipping ingenuity of Flipboard, the reading is more varied, which is ultimately what Im looking for from a social magazine. Digitimes: Apples iPhone 5 to include smaller screen and metal chassis

Contray to previous reports that suggested Apples next-generation iPhone would include a 4.2-inch touch screen panel, Asian technology publication Digitimes reports that the device will feature a smaller 4-inch panel, adapting the rear of the device to ship with a metal chassis instead of reinforced glass. Digitimes points out that the many of the rumoured specifications expected to be featured in the iPhone 5 are the markets expectations, with sources indicating that the device will possibly adopt a significantly smaller screen than first imagined: The sources pointed out that the upcoming iPhone will not have many differences compared to iPhone 4 in terms of components and the panel will still be less than 4-inch.
