Apple may bring iTunes Store to 10 new countries in Europe soon
Apple could be preparing to launch the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) in ten more countries in the European Union (EU) as soon as next month, according to sources of the Polish newspaperRzeczpospolita (English translation).
The App Store is already available in all 27 countries that form the EU but only 12 currently have the iTMS, thanks to licensing restrictions. The total tally of iTMSs availability around the globe currently sits at 24 countries.
The report names the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland as being on Apples list, and MacRumors further speculates that it may includeBulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia as well. Cyprus and Malta may be left out due to their geographic isolation and relatively small populations.
