LED teeth: Now you really CAN light up the room with your smile

Want to have a dazzling smile?

A new trend for LED teeth that’s sweeping Japan might be the answer.
Simply, it is an LED insert which can be affixed to your teeth (a bit like a mouth guard) and which lights up when you smile.Scroll down for video

Happy faces: An LED insert which can be affixed to your teeth like a mouth guard and which lights up when you smile has become popular in Japan
You can even get a wireless hand-held computer by which to control the contraption, making your teeth change colour - from a lurid green to demonic-looking red - or even blink.

Japanese schoolgirls have pounced on the product - which is being advertised as a ‘party in your mouth’ - and demand has gone through the roof.
So will it catch on in Britain? Previous toothy-trends for gold caps and diamonds glued onto molars have been successful, so surely it can only be a matter of time?

Perhaps the contestants of next year’s Strictly Come Dancing could pop them in for a bit of added bling...
